ASL’s Broking Division is managed by Giles
North who has been a broker in Bermuda for over 20
years. Giles was a founder of one of Bermuda’s
largest broking companies, Triangle Brokerage, which
was eventually purchased by JLT, where, until
joining ASL, he was President.
ASL began business as a broker in Bermuda in 1976
and has been an active participant in this
increasingly important market ever since.
Having placed business for many major clients
across as spectrum of industry sectors, ASL has
established a strong presence within the Bermuda
market and is able to deliver solutions to many
challenging risks. These range from traditional
insurance placements through to complex structured
financing, all of which have become standard fare
within the ASL group.
The Bermuda markets specialize in Excess
Liability, Professional and Property Lines. The real
strength of Bermuda though is in the ability to
provide substantial and stable capacity for most
lines of coverage and the innovative professionalism
that exists in the market.
Within a square mile there are dozens of
insurance companies available to brokers and their
clients, and as with any marketplace the strength
and longevity of relationships within this area are
key to optimizing results. With 30 years of
dedicated service to this sector ASL has established
all of the necessary relationships to ensure the
best value and service to our clients and as a truly
independent broker ASL operates with no conflicting
