Rent A Captive Programs
Rent-A-Captive (RAC) ownership offers almost parallel benefits to those of stand alone captives but
is faster to set up, less expensive to create, and can utilize the capital already existing within the overall RAC facility to collateralize individual cells.
ASL manages three (3) of the world’s top ten (10) RAC facilities and has built a broad spectrum of RAC cells for clients to address highly a diversified range of needs.
All ASL’s RAC facilities are fully enacted by Parliament to provide segregated cell structures which protect
individual client assets and reserves against the liabilities or insolvency of any other participants within the same RAC facility.
A Rent-A-Captive Plan is an insurance plan structured to accomplish five major objectives:
- To provide the insured with the underwriting profit which would normally accrue to an insurance company.
- To preserve the investment income, on premium cash flow and claims reserves, that traditionally is accrued by the insurance company.
- To give the insured greater involvement in claims management and claims adjustment in order to reduce the experience modification or experience rating factors and therefore to reduce the ultimate cost of insurance.
- To give the insured more direct control over the component parts of the program of insurance resulting in greater flexibility over planning for the future.
- To maximize any tax benefits which may be available.
ASL’s management team works effectively with all clients to determine the correct captive structures in order to optimize
the resulting benefits. With extensive experience in both Captive and RAC
facilities ASL’s expertise can assist in determining the perfect solution
for each individual situation.
